ABOUT JENNY:

We’re stoked to welcome Jenny to the WA SURF crew as a Kitesurfing Instructor for the 2025/26 season!

Jenny first tried kitesurfing in 2021 on a university excursion and instantly got hooked. In 2022, she completed a three-month internship where she really learned to kite properly. Since then, she’s spent every European summer in the Netherlands, living and breathing kitesurfing — teaching, riding, and chasing wind for around six months each year.

Unlike other sports that felt more like something you do just to stay fit, kiting changed everything for Jenny. She loves the sport for what it is, not just what it does for her body. Being out in nature, experiencing all kinds of conditions, and always learning something new is what keeps her coming back.

Her favourite conditions are strong winds above 30 knots and big waves. She also loves stormy, rainy sessions — the ones she calls “Armageddon” days. Nature really shows you your place in those moments and you know, “If I mess up now, nature will absolutely beat me!” - those sessions give her a huge sense of awe and a serious hit of adrenaline.

She completed her VDWS instructor licence in Tarifa in 2023 and earned her rescue licence in Brouwersdam, Netherlands early 2025.

Jenny wanted to become an instructor so she could share the stoke and joy of the sport with others. She loves the lifestyle that comes with it — living near the sea, spending most of her day in nature, being around people who share the same passion, and living an active, ocean-based lifestyle. She loves how quickly students improve and says celebrating those small wins with her students is one of the best parts of teaching.

Her advice for beginners: be patient with yourself and give yourself room for mistakes and improvements. Just keep going and with every hour on the water you will see results.

We’re excited to have Jenny on the WA SURF beach this season, bringing her stoke, experience, and love for wild conditions to the crew.
